Hello everyone!

I’ve officially made it back to the states safely. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for me and supported me during this crazy journey! I’ve been grown, challenged, and learned so so much through out this summer. i am so grateful for the time of transformation and abundance this has brought. Overall, it’s been quite the adjustment being back in the States, but I am grateful to be back. Although I really hope to be back in the Guatemala again someday. The people there are so beautiful, open, and welcoming. They are vulnerable and receive help and prayer gratefully. I’ve been made aware of how real the spiritual world is there and been able to walk in authority knowing Jesus has our victory! There’s never a reason to fear when we have the King of Kings on our side.

The last few weeks there were jam packed with our last ministry and adventure days as well. Last weekend our team got to hike Volcano Acatenango, which was probably the hardest thing i’ve ever done physically. It’s a two day trip up and down, and I was one of only four that made it to the actual top. Some of our team was sick so they just stayed at the base camp. Getting to the top was one of my proudest achievements and seeing the sunrise over the clouds is something i’ve prayed about seeing forever! God is so good. It is absolutely freezing at the top so we only could stay up there about 30 minutes, but we got to see Volcano Fuego (one of the most active volcanos in the world) erupt three times! The night before, you could see the volcano erupting and was bright red and glowing. It was so cool to be sustained not by my own physical strength, but the Lords. Although it was the hardest things physically, it was the most restful thing spiritually i have ever done. I’m so grateful to be taught by the Lord in the coolest ways. He truly gives us the ability to do anything, and the confidence to do it! At one point we were walking around the volcano on a cliff in the dark, and i had no fear because i knew He was guiding each of my steps. What was interesting to me is that the second morning when we did the last two hours to the top, if i looked ahead to how much more i had left, i wanted to cry and give up. LOL. But when i just focused on each step one at a time, it was so doable. How applicable is that to our lives?! The Lord is so kind and gracious to never overwhelm us, but only lead us one step at a time and only gives us what we can handle. From there, He leads us to places we never thought imaginable!!

The weekend before that, Our squad got to go and visit Lake Atítlan. It’s surrounded by volcanoes and on of the most beautiful places i have ever seen! It reminded me of a scene from Jurassic Park or Avatar. So magical. This was such a nice time of rest and filled my need of the water that I have living by the ocean in Florida. I was super grateful for this opportunity. There was also a nature reserve i busted there where i got to see waterfalls and a butterfly garden. We walked across a bunch of hanging bridges which was a little scary i won’t lie LOL.

Our last week in Guatemala, we stayed at a hostel in Antigua. I was able to lead worship one night which was so sweet for me, and it lead to so many ministry opportunities with the people staying there which we weren’t even expecting. The best ministry is always like that! The most important things i’ve learned this summer is to walk in intimacy and abundance of the Lord everyday, not just at church or when you’re with other believers. That’s where the true blessing comes, walking in His Spirit and ministering to others in your everyday life. I’ve learned to be interruptible by the Lord and submit fully to His power. Only His power heals, and only HIs power satisfies our souls. Thank you so much to everyone who believed in me, supported me, encouraged me, and prayed for me on this trip. I truly could not have done it with out you. Hopefully this is not the last you’ll hear from me! To wherever the Lord sends me next,

Love,

Becca

P.S. Attached our pics from volcano Acatenango, lake Atítlan, and a small hike i did my last week during sunrise which gives an amazing view of Antigua and volcano Agua! xoxo
