Hey everyone!

God has been moving so much this past week it’s been incredible to witness. We have been stayed with our ministry hosts “Reindom” and working with their partners serving the community of Sumpango and the village in Santa Marta. As i said in my last blog, i have ministry Tuesday- Saturday at the school. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday we provide lunch and teach classes in the afternoon. Specifically I am teaching an art class. I am so hoping my watercolor skills will improve by the end of the summer LOL. On Wednesday mornings we will be doing something called “Kingdom Table” wiith a lovely couple Barbara and Gerry and making breakfast for Alcoholics and the homeless in Sumpango. As you may or may not know, Sumpango has a big stronghold of alcoholism and so this is such a beautiful time where we can pray for them, meet them where they are at, and give them a hot meal to eat. It was a very eye opening experience for me and I really am excited for next week. On Wednesday afternoons, we do the soccer academy at the school. We have to walk up a huge hill with the kids but it’s so worth it because it was truly my favorite day of ministry. Playing with them and running around was so fun and fulfilling. There’s no fancy equipment or uniforms but it is just true fun and you can tell they are all so grateful to even be doing that.

One of the ministry days I was sitting with another racer and this sweet ten years old girl Anachristina. We were just talking to her after class getting to know her and we complemented her bracelet. Immediately she said “tengo a mi casa” and ran all the way home to get her bands to make us bracelets. That’s just an example of how much these kids are craving love and relationship. What we are doing here is so important.

The coolest thing i’ve ever seen so far was this past Saturday at the bible school. After the lesson, there was worship music that played and all the children were worshipping, praying, crying on their knees. Truly the most devoted beings for the Lord i’ve ever seen and it was such a beautiful thing. I was just praying over the children that they may always have a wild faith like that and to seek Him always. I was praying for me to be more like that. To love bolder. Trust deeper. Give bigger. Truly i’ve learned so much more from these kids then I have taught them. I thank God for the Reindom ministry. What they are doing is so beautiful and i’m lucky just to be a part of what they are doing.

Attached are some pictures of the city of Sumpango, my team, and me at the school!

With love

Becca
